We are delighted to announce that Jimmy Siggins has agreed to become out first team manager.
“Jimbo” has been with the club for almost two years as assistant manager to the first team and has accepted the challenge to take the lead as the new gaffer.
“It is an honour and a privilege to be named as Eastbourne Rangers first team manager. After my retirement two seasons ago, I didn’t think I would get back into football. I came to Rangers as assistant manager and found a very unique club, of which it’s such a pleasure to be part of. Now, with the added responsibility, I hope I can do the club justice within a superb set up that had developed over the clubs short but successful history. With the support of everyone around me I’m hoping for a successful season. I would have not come out of retirement for any other club from a Saturday football perspective and I’d like to take this opportunity of thanking the chairman Marc “Robbo” Mckay and club founder/secretary Nick Stevenson for giving me this opportunity.”
Rangers start their preseason training on Wednesday 3rd July at the Causeway School 3G at 8pm where all existing and new players are welcome to train with both our first XI and reserve team.
Jimmy will be looking to add to his management/coaching team in due course as we search for a coach who can committ to training on Wednesdays as well as matchdays Saturdays.
If you are interested in working along side Jimmy, or joining as a player, please drop us a message.
